Resurface the A3057 - Before Someone Gets Killed

44 of 50 signatures

As part of Operation Resilience, Hampshire County Council resurfaced the A3057 between Stockbridge and King’s Somborne in 2020 – and then stopped. By comparison the rest of this busy trunk road now feels like the third world. Broken carriageway, uneven surfaces and huge potholes litter the section through Lower Brook and all the way down to Timsbury.

The road has been an accident black spot for decades with heavy vehicles using it as a cut through from the A303 to Southampton and speed limits regularly ignored. Cyclists risk serious injury every day. Residents of King’s Somborne had to set up a Speedwatch, manned by volunteers to try and reduce incidents and, unless the huge potholes south of the village are repaired soon, more accidents and even deaths will be the result.

Please sign David Hall’s petition to get this addressed now. Hampshire County Council need to prioritise this road, finish the job - and save lives.
